We have various grants available throughout the year..

ABWAK is committed to developing the skills and expertise of its members, to help them provide the highest standards of excellence in wild animal care. For this reason, we are pleased to be able to offer 9 different grants throughout the year to our members.

The grants are staggered throughout the year and each have submission deadlines.

Terms & Conditions

Acceptance of an ABWAK grant implies acceptance of all terms and conditions that ABWAK have put forward.

ABWAK must be acknowledged in any publications arising from any product or activity for which the grant was provided.
The successful application will commit to providing an article for Ratel, and also if invited, commit to providing a poster or talk at an ABWAK event.
Funding must be used for the specific enrichment project that is has been awarded for.If the funds are not used for what they are intended, they must be returned to ABWAK be redistributed.
Proof of purchases must be sent to the Grants Officer within 3 months of funding.
ABWAK accepts no liability for the use of the enrichment items.All new ideas and purchases should be authorised the zoological institutions management before use.
If the application is successful, the applicant cannot apply for another ABWAK grant within 2 years if under £100, or 4 years if over £100.
Applicants must be a Professional ABWAK member for more than 6 months, to apply for grants.
