Twycross Zoo
Experienced Primate Keeper
Up to £17,346 pa
Twycross Zoo, based in Leicestershire, is a registered charity and is famous for its collection of primates. We are proud of the work we do in conservation and education and take part in many captive breeding programmes for endangered animals. About three quarters of the animals housed at Twycross are classed as endangered species.
We need an experienced primate keeper to join one of our primate sections caring for callitrichides, spider monkeys, woolly monkeys, howlers, langurs, colobus and guenons. We are not looking for more trainee keepers at this point.
Pay ranges from £15,735 pa for a Grade 2 Keeper up to £17,346 pa for a Senior Keeper. Grade is determined by the job holder’s level of competence, expertise and knowledge, not length of service.
